March 2006 saw the launch of ALIQUANTUM and we were definitely off to a flying start! Networking for women in business is the focus of what we do and we had a great time doing it at our very first meeting.
April saw us Making Faces with Debby Mercer. This was a hugely popular evening and we will ask Debby to come and speak to the group again.
May was an evening devoted to networking for business and for exploring the Purple Hat philosphy.
What a night! June was our Summer Event sponsored by Wotif.com who brought some fabulous prizes for the event. With over 60 ladies at the event the room was on fire! Thanks to Pam Holt of APPLE Video Facilities we were also captured for posterity and you can see us in action here.
ALIQUANTUM sizzled in more ways than one this month. With temperatures in the 70s all day the temperature was really too hot for comfort. So we decided to get out of the heat of the meeting room into the ‘fresh’ air for some networking on the lawn and even managed to consume some delicious Mango ice lollies in the process!
August 2006
Confidence was running at a high at our event this month, thanks to Eileen Graham who ran a session on confidence building for us. We also had a great evening with lots of the usual laughter as we networked for business.
Out and about was our motto in September. In response to a request of one of Laura's contacts, ALIQUANTUM had a visit to Scotland when we ran an event in Glasgow - and what a great evening we had. We also held an event in Chester where our guest speaker was the lovely Sandy Lindsay from Tangerine PR and then we had our launch event in Preston. Needless to say our Manchester ladies also had a really great event where we devoted some time to sharing experience and knowledge about the challenges of being in business.
Well, what a night! We had a fantastic evening at our Charity Make-up, Hair and Fashion Show on the 24th October 2006, with all our ladies looking absolutely magnificent. We gave away nearly £1,000 worth of prizes and had a lot of fun. For those ladies who come along to our November networking events I should issue a warning, our models did such a fabulous job that I'm now expecting them to charge for autographs! We held a forum on generating more business at this month's meeting and also looked at how our ladies could make their networking for business more effective. A great contribution from everyone who attended made this a really successful session.
